No, we are not talking about interim title fights. These are actual UFC championship bouts that are bound to happen within the next 6-12 months, but haven’t been announced yet.
Of course nothing in the UFC is certain these days. Not with fights being cancelled almost as often as they are made.

The UFC only has 3 announced upcoming title fights:
– Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson UFC 209
– Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson UFC 209 (interim) 
– Holly Holm vs. Germaine de Randamie UFC 208
Aside from those three, there really are only 2 other divisions where the next challenger has been determined.

8. Cody Garbrandt vs. T.J Dillashaw

For those looking for an immediate rematch between Cody Garbrandt and Dominick Cruz, you’re not going to get it. They might rematch, but it won’t be immediate.

Even though Garbrandt has been adamant he wants an immediate rematch with Cruz, the former champ seems in no rush. Garbrandt called Cruz out on Twitter, which usually means there has been a hold up with the other guy. Recent comments Cruz made indicate he is willing to wait for the winner between Dillashaw and Garbrandt:
“Whenever I come back, I’m fighting for the title. I don’t know who it’s gonna be though.”

That sounds like a guy who is looking for a little time off. So even though Garbrandt has said Dillashaw doesn’t draw on PPV, he’ll have to beat him before getting another fight with Cruz.

  1. I’m removing scrap digest from my feed .all these articles look like they are written by a casual fan. I really hope this isn’t a 1-8 ranking of these potential fights. There is no way in hell they put Carla Esparza back in the octagon with Joanna. That is a complete mismatch. Did you see the first fight. Joanna murdered her. There’s far better options. A 3rd Gadhela fight would be much better. A Karolina rematch , or an Andrade fight. Please stop talking fights

    Woodley vs Wonderboy, Maia, GSP, Nick Diaz
    Bisping vs Romero, Silva, Rockhold, Jacare, or another fun fight with Hendo
    Cornier vs Johnson, Jones
    Miocic vs JDS, Werdum, or the black beast if he beats hapa
