Francis Ngannou made sure everyone knew his name after UFC 218 with a devastating knockout of Alistair Overeem. Now, ‘The Predator’ has some more big names in mind…

Rising UFC heavyweight prospect Francis Ngannou is next in line for a title fight with Stipe Miocic. After decimating Alistair Overeem at UFC 218, ‘The Predator’ emerged as the clear contender at 265 pounds, and a scary one.

Prior to the epic knockout in Detroit, Ngannou earned a reputation as the hardest puncher ever recorded. The record was previously held by Tyrone Spong, but Ngannou shattered it with 1 billion units or something like that.

When it came to the fight against Overeem, ‘The Predator’s’ ungodly power was just way too much for the Dutchman to absorb. One horrendous uppercut launched with vicious intentions later, and ‘The Reem’ became a meme.

Now that he’s found himself in the spotlight, Ngannou’s hit list isn’t limited to just Miocic.

Ngannou Wants Everyone

Aside from the obvious threats to Miocic’s throne, Ngannou has aspirations outside the title fight, even outside of MMA. According to his coach, Dewey Cooper, ‘The Predator’ has targets that include Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder as well.

Cooper tells MMAJunkie.com that he feels Ngannou has the raw power to upset either boxing champion:

“Francis trained very hard for months, since the (Junior) Dos Santos fight got canceled,” Dewey Cooper on Monday told MMAjunkie Radio. “He stayed in the gym working hard, had great sparring, and we all expected the outcome that the world saw.”

“This isn’t some jock-type guy,” Cooper said. “He’s really smart, he really studies, he really studies, and he really believes what he’s going to accomplish. Everything is coming to fruition right now.”

“He has punching power,” Cooper said. “Anyone that has that equalizer will fare well. If he spends more time and takes it seriously, trains hard, he could be a champ in boxing also.

“Everyone was so enthralled about the Conor McGregor/Floyd Mayweather fight. I’d like to see Francis about one year from now fight whoever the heavyweight champion is, whether it be Deontay Wilder or Anthony Joshua. That would be a real fight, where an MMA fighter could go in there and upset a current boxing champion.”

According to Ngannou himself, he wants a piece of WWE star and former UFC heavyweight champ Brock Lesnar:

“My dream? I would like to see a match between me and Brock Lesnar,” Ngannou told Flocombat

“You know, two big dudes. I like that matchup. I’m excited for that kind of matchup… I want to see that match. He’s big and huge, but he’s not stronger than me.” While Ngannou things he’s stronger, he also believes he is the better striker.

“I’m the best striker in the heavyweight division. [I’m] the more powerful guy and I’m also a [more] talented guy.”
