UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor had a lot to prove on August 20. Standing across from him in the UFC octagon was Nate Diaz. The Stockton bad boy looms above McGregor physically, but had also gt one over the Irishman at UFC 196.

Following the huge loss to Diaz, the outspoken Irish striker demanded an immediate rematch. Diaz was happy to oblige due to the huge pay day he’d receive, but also claimed the UFC was ‘out to get him.’

Nate Diaz made some rather interesting comments after UFC 196. Beating Conor McGregor on just 11 days notice made the previously struggling Diaz a superstar overnight. Suddenly everyone loved the rough and ready trash talker from Stockton.

Apart from the UFC, who Diaz claimed were trying to ‘get him out of there.’ According to Nate, the promotion didn’t want ‘his kind’ as a superstar in the UFC. Was this true? What we do know, is what happened at UFC 202.
