Ronda Rousey Opens Up On Social Media And Cris Cyborg Reacts

Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and former Invicta FC featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino were once on a collision course that would have made one of the richest fights in MMA history between the biggest name in MMA at the time in Rousey, and her seemingly preordained conqueror Cyborg.

Cyborg is a monster striking machine of a woman. Her stand up is terrifying and her strength is unparalleled among women.

A hypothetical matchup between her and Rousey would have pit a master grappler up against a knockout artist. It was intriguing to say the least.

Ronda Rousey and Cris Cyborg Have Been Feuding For The Longest Time

The clamor for the fight was huge. Cyborg pursued the matchup like crazy too, hounding Rousey all over the media. In order to force a fight, Cyborg had to go to great lengths. At the time, Cyborg wasn’t even in the UFC yet.

When Cyborg finally did join the UFC, the promotion had to create a whole new division for her because she couldn’t make bantamweight – the division in which Rousey was a champion in. Yet the two crossing paths was inevitable.

The fans wanted it, and it was bound to happen.

However, a little over a year ago however, Rousey lost her UFC title to Holly Holm. She went into hiding for over 12 months before resurfacing to face Amanda Nunes.

Nunes then knocked her out in 48 seconds last week. And the rest was history.

But For Some Reason, They Never Made Their Fight A Reality

Now, no one knows where Rousey will go from here. She has chosen to keep largely out of the public eye. And has even refused to speak with media.

It became evident to fans that Rousey just did not know how to take a loss. Rousey even once talked about suicidal thoughts on Oprah.

Now that she lost again to Nunes, it’s a mystery how she is handling once more being on the losing end.

Just recently, Rousey took to her official Instagram account to give fans a hint on how she is feeling.

You guys suddenly love to pick the worst picturs of Ronda (and/or her mother). I didn’t find the post cryptic at all, and isn’t it a bit presumptuous of Cyborg to say Ronda’s through? Not as bad as Nunes saying it, but still.
