Conor McGregor Reacts To Fabricio Werdum’s Injury During Insane Awards Speech

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor is never too far away from a deep rivalry. Right from the word go, when he debuted for the promotion with a 2013 knockout over Marcus Brimage, ‘The Notorious’ made enemies with the featherweight champ of the time Jose Aldo.

He vowed to destroy the entire division before taking out the Brazilian boss, and so far he’s kept to his word. Only thing is now, his rival is Rafael dos Anjos, and the lightweight division is a whole different kettle of fish.

McGregor makes good of his frequent appearances in the media, declaring he would behead the ‘Brazilian traitor’ and drag his headless body through the streets of Rio de Janeiro. It’s all hype, right?

Well, it appears McGregor doesn’t need to even be talking about a fight to take time to trash his enemies, and this time it’s UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum that takes a verbal bashing from the Irishman.

After McGregor’s rant towards Werdum’s Kings MMA team mate dos Anjos at the eventful UFC 196 press conference, the heavyweight champion said the following of ‘The Notorious’:

“When [reporters] had a question for Rafael and he talked over him, this is no good,” Werudm said. “If it was my opponent, I would do this [Werdum makes a gesture like throwing water in his face, then makes a slapping sound], I’d say ‘be quiet.’ But that’s not Rafael’s personality. He’s a smart guy, okay, he controls himself, he just thinks about the fight.” Quotes from MMAFighting.com…
