HBO did an episode of “Real Sports” on the amount of mixed martial artists (as well as football players) who are arrested or accused of domestic violence. Needless to say the show did not paint the sport in a favourable light.

A notable omission to this list is Travis Browne, who was accused by a former girlfriend who posted pictures of bruises she alleges were inflicted by Browne.  Browne was temporarily suspended by the UFC pending an investigation.  When the investigation concluded there was no evidence that Browne had committed an assault his temporary suspension was lifted.  Browne isn’t included in this list because he was never brought up on charges and an investigation cleared him of any wrong doing.

There’s no shortage of fighters who have been charged with domestic assault however, and here’s 8 of them.
