What was Conor McGregor saying about joining the WWE?
Since joining the UFC, Conor McGregor has made quite a few enemies. Trashing his opponents, his employers, and anyone who stands in his way, ‘The Notorious’ lives up to his nickname.
Although he’s only fought in MMA so far, talks have been ongoing with the WWE and also Floyd Mayweather. Regarding the pro wrestling subject, McGregor has been less than respectful towards the WWE.
McGregor vs. WWE
During a string of obscene Tweets, McGregor called the WWE roster ‘pussies,’ and has since repeated those comments. Talking with Ariel Helwani during a PPV interview in Manchester, the Irishman indicated a potential cameo in the WWE.
“I’ll love to go into that WWE and have a real knock. Let one of them have a real knock and see what’s what. But we’ll see. There’s conversations ongoing. I’ve turned down some things, the conversation’s still ongoing.”
Brock Lesnar’s Comments
For fans wondering whom McGregor might face in the WWE, look no further than Brock Lesnar. The former UFC heavyweight champion got sent packing from MMA after he failed two drug tests last year.
Now he’s back in the world of pro wrestling, these comments might well be the start of a feud with McGregor:
“I take shits bigger than that kid. I know you guys all play fucking video games and you live in this false reality and shit. Listen, I’m 290 fucking pounds, this guy is 145 pounds. If he’s lucky and he’s getting up and eating his Weeties in the morning. He wants to challenge. If Conor McGregor wants to say some shit to me, come here Conor, face-to-face, and say some fucking shit.”
“I’m thinking Vince McMahon must be pissed,” McGregor said last weekend in Manchester. “I don’t give a f*ck about Vince McMahon. I stole that walk, and that walk is now mine. And not Vince, or any of those p*ssies over at the WWE will do anything about it. That’s my walk. I created that walk. I made that walk.”
