It is entirely likely that if they don’t make this fight now they will never have the chance to again.

For years when these two had cleaned out their divisions they were the consensus #1 and #2 P4P fighters in the world. Efforts to set up a super-fight between them always failed however. GSP didn’t want to go up in weight, Silva didn’t want to go down, and so the fight never happened.

Now however, it seems that Georges wants to come back and fight at 185lbs, which just so happens to be the weight division Anderson still fights at. It would not be the super-fight it would have been if they had done it 5 years ago, but it would still sell a lot of PPVs, which is what the UFC wants.
