4. Tyron Woodley
This would be a tough fight for Georges. Woodley is a fantastic wrestler who hits hard. If Woodley’s wrestling pedigree allows him to stop GSP’s takedowns, it could give him the edge. GSP isn’t a big fan of getting hit, which is why he allows it to happen so infrequently, I worry that if Woodley connects he’d put the legend to sleep.
For Woodley this would be the big money fight he has been asking for. Ever since winning the title from Robbie Lawler, Woodley has tried to duck Stephen Thompson in an attempt to get a more financially rewarding fight with either Nick Diaz or Georges St. Pierre. If anything, giving this fight to Woodley would at least keep the welterweight champion quiet for awhile.
Seeing as Georges never lost his welterweight title, it wouldn’t be difficult for the UFC to grant him an immediate shot at it upon returning. Woodley has to get by Thompson first for that to happen however.
