There aren’t many fight fans that don’t know the name Mike Tyson. The former heavyweight world champion boxer was infamous for his fearsome knockouts in the 1980’s and 90’s. He also had a pretty rough demeanour to go with it.
Tyson’s knockouts became the stuff of legend as his career went on. Breaking the record for youngest ever boxing heavyweight champion at just 20 years old, there were few men who could withstand ‘Iron Mike’s’ power.
Bad Boy
There are bad boys, and then there’s Mike Tyson. Some people like to act tough and mean, but Tyson is an example of a truly hard man. His image as a rough and ready brute was accurate.
As time went on though, Tyson became a well-beloved character in the fight game. Once he retired after a few brutal losses, it became clear that he was more troubled than we’d ever realised. Then a new era of champions emerged.
The New Bad Boy
The new era of boxers is arguably led in terms of skill by Floyd Mayweather. ‘Money’ has also been the biggest bad boy of the latest crop, retiring with an unbeaten record of 49-0 last year.
When Tyson and Mayweather met on stage, the bad blood that ‘Iron Mike’ had towards ‘Money’ almost spilled over…
that lil nigga has no reflexes 😀 King would knock him out of hi zone 😀
I’ll roundhouse kick you and float you down the river
Mayweather doesn’t stand a chance lol
Mayweather is like the William Shatner of that universe. They alllllll obviously hate his f*cking guts.
