Khabib Nurmagamedov’s Manager Ali Abdelaziz Offers Conor McGregor a Stark Warning as UFC 223 Fallout Continues…

It’s become one of the most divisive rivalries in the UFC. Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagamedov is a fight that looks increasingly likely to happen. After the Irishman attacked the media bus carrying Nurmagamedov, their relationship reached new toxic levels.

Nurmagamedov became the new undisputed lightweight champion after beating Al Iaquinta at UFC 223. As a result, McGregor was stripped of his title for inactivity. A booking for the two men appears to be the natural next step for two of the most charismatic fighters on the roster.

In fact, many people think that the greatest punishment for McGregor would be to step into an octagon with the Russian. That’s what Team Khabib thinks anyway. ‘The Eagle’s’ Manager Ali Abdelaziz has come out in emphatic support of his fighter. In an interview with TMZ Sports, Abdelaziz gave McGregor a warning of what is to come.

Enemy

Much has been made of the tension between Nurmagamedov and McGregor’s respective camps. Before the ‘Notorious’ attacked the Russian’s bus, with 20 goons, Nurmagamedov and his crew did their best to intimidate McGregor’s training partner, Artem Lobov. Abdelaziz warned McGregor to think carefully about his next step:

“Right now, Conor McGregor’s not an enemy but if the UFC books this fight Conor McGregor is going to be the enemy of the f***ing state. Him and his whole f***ing team. And we’re going to declare war on them. All of them.”

Woah. Abdelaziz isn’t holding back. Don’t forget though, McGregor isn’t called the ‘Notorious’ for no reason. There’s absolutely no doubt that words like these are the MMA equivalent of a matador holding a red cloth in front of a bull. Watch the full interview below.

No Respect

Artem Lobov was also targeted by Abdelaziz. The Russian fighter is a divisive figure because of his relationship with McGregor. Many people think that with his rather uninspiring record of 14 wins and 14 losses, Lobov is not cut out for the UFC. However, to his credit, he has a history of being in some crazy and entertaining brawls.

“He have a bitch ass friend that can’t defend himself,” Abdelaziz said. “He have to call 30 people to defend him – this guy should be cut from the UFC.”

Ok, so Abdelaziz isn’t a Lobov fan either. It’s unclear whether or not he’ll ever fight for the UFC again after his fight against Alex Caceres was canceled, due to his part in the UFC 223 bus attack.

Buried Bodies

Finally, Abdelaziz commented on how lucky McGregor’s mob were that Khabib’s team were not present at the time of the attack. The UFC is probably also counting their blessing because there is little doubt that it would have been absolute carnage. As Abdelaziz said:

“Trust me, I’m glad Khabib’s team wasn’t there because we would have been burying bodies. 100% bodies would have been buried. If Khabib’s team was there? We would be going to some funerals.”

If one thing is certain, Abdelaziz knows how to promote his fighters. Nurmagamedov vs McGregor has to happen if the UFC can get past all the legal problems that the ‘Notorious’ has created. If they can do it, then we have possibly the biggest fight in the UFC’s history on our hands.
