For some reason there are a small percentage of mixed marital artists who seem to put almost no emphasis on physical conditioning whatsoever.  Not only that, but many of them are actually quite successful.

In some of these cases the fighters had cruised by on natural ability for so much of their lives that they never felt they had to worry about physical fitness.  Then, when they hit their 30s, their bodies started to fall apart and they really didn’t know what to do about it.  Thus we’ve got some UFC veterans out there who don’t exactly look they would fair too well at those cross-fit courses.
