7. James Irvin vs. Terry Martin
At the time Irvin had almost been perfect in his MMA career. Fighting at heavyweight, Irvin started his career by winning his first 5 pro fights on smaller California shows. He was then brought into the WEC to fight for the company’s inaugural heavyweight championship at WEC 11.
After winning the title, Martin would make his UFC debut in a losing effort to Mike Kyle. He would then head back to the WEC and defend his title once more before taking on Terry Martin, in this his second fight for the UFC.
This time Irvin rose to the occasion, and picked up this walk-off knockout win over Terry Martin.
