6. Chris Ngimbi vs Ilia Usachev
Born in the Congo, Ngimbi’s family was forced to flee the country as his father had been involved in a political party which was no longer in favour of the ruling elite. The Ngimbi family, along with 11-year old Chris, fled to Holland.
In case you haven’t been following combat sports, Holland is where fighters go to become great strikers. Kickboxing is huge in Holland, and Ngimbi was quick to pick up the sport in his new home country.
Having retired briefly in 2011, Ngimbi returned and is shown here fighting in the finals of the W5 tournament in 2015.
