Archie Colgan and Pieter Buist are some of the fighters to watch at the upcoming Bellator 301 this Friday. In his recent statement, Colgan expressed excitement about his next bout, sharing his plan to end it with a finish.

“King” has an impressive record under Bellator, sporting 8 wins and 0 losses. His winning streak and No.10 rank in the lightweight division make the fighter attractive in the division. However, instead of a ranked opponent, Colgan will be facing Buist with a three-fight losing streak. Colgan, nonetheless, doesn’t see this as an issue, saying he accepts any fight available and plans to add Buist to one of his victories in the field.

In relation to that, King is planning to end the fight with a finish, resuming the earlier TKO streak wins he had before it was snapped by a decision win against Emmanuel Sanchez in June. In an interview with MMA News, Colgan explained why he aims to finish Buist despite their casual and friendly status as fighters.

“…Finishes keep people entertained, and they keep you hot, and people want to see that,” Colgan shared. “There’s probably a reason why I signed with Bellator last July, and I fought going into my fifth time now. More active than anybody else on the roster. Up until that last one, everything was a finish. People like to see finishes, so I’m doing my job. I want to get a finish in this fight. I think I will get, nah, I’m going to get a finish in this fight. That’s going to happen.”
