Machado claims that his number 1 student, a purple belt named Ashton Kutcher, could defeat McGregor.
“For me, Ashton Kutcher is my number one student, he is one of the toughest guy in my school, across the board.” Said Machado, “I put all my money on Ashton Kutcher. I think he can do really really good. He’s 200 lbs, 6’2″ – 6’3″. He’s the best.”
When asked if he would defeat “Notorious” in the same manner as Nate Diaz did, he responded by saying: “On the ground, yes.”
Machado is one of the very few who have reached the rank of Red-and-Black Belt, also known as the Coral Belt. He began training at the age of 5 years old, he is one of five brothers, all of whom also began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at a young age. He holds a competition record of 365 wins and 2 losses and holds a record for finishing 19 matches by submission in one day.
Kutcher received his BJJ purple belt in 2014. Some of the more famous celebrity BJJ practitioners include Ed O’Neil, Keanu Reeves, Paul Walker, and Guy Ritchie.
