Following her appearance on the Ultimate Fighter, multiple promotions attempted to book fights with Garcia, but things always fell through. Rizin, the latest attempt to revive Japan’s love affair with mixed martial arts, finally did book Garcia in their New Year’s Eve show last year.

At Rizin’s first ever show, Garcia was pitted against former pro-wrestler with TNA Lei’D Tapa, who didn’t provide much of a fight for Garcia. Just over halfway through the first round Garcia KO’d Tapa, letting the world know that she didn’t just have size and BJJ, she could also knock her opponents out.

Her second fight with Rizin took place this April against Russian fighter Anna Malyukova. This time the fight would go to a second round before Malyukova was forced to tap to a Gabi Garcia armbar.

As for Yarbrough, she is 1W-0L in her career thus far, having defeated Crystal Parsons in just 33 seconds in her debut this April.

It looks like both of these heavyweight women are skilled and badass enough to really throw down. Should Garcia come out of this fight a winner, Rizin may have a real star on their hands.
