Things are going pretty well for Joe Pyfer, and one of his latest opportunities is a fight against No. 9-ranked middleweight fighter Jack Hermansson. The bout will be the first UFC main event of “Bodybagz,” allowing him to boost his image in the MMA industry.
The two will be entering the cage in a UFC Fight Night main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on February 10. The bout was already confirmed by UFC CEO Dana White this Thursday, with the event expected to stream on ESPN+.
This will be a huge fight for Pyfer, who impressed the audience in Dana White’s Contender Series. His entrance to the UFC was also remarkable after defeating Alen Amedovski via KO. After that, he also won against Gerald Meerschaert via TKO in April, while his recent October fight against Abdul Razak Alhassan ended with a submission win. With all that, Pyfer could use this upcoming event to extend his winning streak and even infiltrate the middleweight ranking.
That won’t be easy, nonetheless, as Hermansson will be aiming to break his alternating win-loss record. “The Joker” will enter the fight with a loss to Roman Dolidze via a second-round KO in December 2022. With this, despite the long period of rest, it is certain that the ranked fighter will be desperate for a win this time.
