Kevin Holland is currently 5-0 for the year 2020 and is looking to be the fighter of the year. He finished most of his opponents and his last fight against Souza was one of top knockouts of the year.
I get it…. how the hell they gonna put that move in the game? 🤷🏾♂️ @ufc @EASPORTSUFC #CallBigMouth pic.twitter.com/YhaKLCrB78

Holland gave props to Chimaev saying that the Chechen fighter is talented and has the potential to be the next welterweight champion. Chimaev has fought in two divisions for the year 2020 and his last fight was in middleweight.

Holland said that if both fight at middleweight, he is going to beat Chimaev since he is the naturally bigger and stronger guy. Chimaev was scheduled to fight Leon Edwards at welterweight but was canceled, it was supposed to be the main event.
There was even an incident before in a hotel altercation with Holland and Chimaev. Chimaev thought Holland was an employee of the hotel and which Holland took offense to that.
No announcement for Chimaev as of this moment but it would be wise to wait for Leon Edwards since it gives him the highest rise to the top 5 if he beats Edwards. Chimaev has yet to fight the top contenders of the division.
Stephen Thompson, who fought for the title against Tyron Woodley but fell short also gave his opinion of the fighter. Thompson said that Chimaev is given special treatment by giving him the #15 rankings even though there are a lot of fighters more worthy of the spot.
Thompson then said that when he was rising, he fought through many talented fighters just to climb up the rankings. Dana White just took interest in Chimaev since he is a unique individual in terms of wanting to fight anyone, anytime and anywhere especially finishing Gerald with only one punch.
Will the UFC risk their rising star Chimaev to fight on a short notice fight against the bigger Kevin Holland?
