Martyn Ford is Already Becoming Famous in the MMA World… Just By Virtue of Being Massive And Terrifying… Now He Has Turned His Attention to Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagamedov…
The UFC 229 brawl has been well-dissected by now. Here’s basically what happened: Rizvan Magomedov put his hands on Dillon Danis – who had been shouting abuse at Khabib all fight – and the New Yorker reacted by shoving him. Then Khabib responded by trying to flying kick McGregor’s BJJ coach. Cue chaos.
The post-fight brawl has had serious consequences already. Zubaira Tukhagov has been pulled from his fight against Artem Lobov and is suspended from the UFC pending an investigation. Meanwhile, Khabib still hasn’t been paid his money.
Now one of the world’s most terrifying men has some advice for McGregor and Khabib. Martyn Ford – a former bodybuilder turned professional MMA fighter – has spoken out about the incident and given his thoughts.
Motivated
Ford is a former professional bodybuilder, who has numerous roles in films such as Kingsman: The Golden Circle and Accident Man. He has over a million followers on Instagram – more than UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. He has just signed for Polish promotion KSW which is basically trying to become a new version of PRIDE. He’s had trouble with injuries in the past but he’s always been able to stay motivated:
“I was lost when I finished playing cricket. I was convinced I would turn pro and that would be my life set out. With injuries, bad luck and just losing love for the game that never happened. But the void was never filled. I knew deep down I needed to succeed at something, that I had an ability to shine in some way.”
“I have always been so focused and committed with a crazy ambition to win. Fast forward to today, I’m travelling the world with fitness, made two films with three more already lined up. Not to mention three businesses to my name.”

Disappointing
As a newly signed MMA fighter – who has a few years of training under his belt – Ford is in love with the sport, and can’t wait to make his debut in the near future. He had this to say about the McGregor and Khabib incident:
“For me personally, I always try and carry myself as professionally as possible, and look down the line that you’ve got a lot of young people looking up to you,”
“The behavior from the last couple of weeks just disappointed me. I understand it, but at the same time when you’re in a role of influence like that, there should be a cutting off point.”

Recovery
Now that UFC 229 is way behind us, both Khabib and Conor McGregor have moved on with their lives. ‘The Eagle’ is currently courting Floyd Mayweather from his home in Dagestan. It’s not going to happen and that’s the end of that story.
Meanwhile, McGregor is off on a tour of the US promoting his whiskey to the masses. He’s got a new whiskey out didn’t you know?
