12. The Korean Zombie vs. Dustin Poirier
The Korean Zombie’s fight with Dustin Poirier in 2012 was a terrific example of high-octane back-and-forth action that covered all aspects of MMA. It involved it all, from trading big strikes on the feet to scrambling on the mat and going for submission attempts.
The second round was big for Zombie as he layered eye-catching offense on the feet with a string of submission attempts that put Poirier’s defensive abilities to the test. But ‘The Diamond’ proceeded to take the fight to TKZ in the third round with his slick, high-output striking. However, Jung rallied in the fourth and landed another takedown followed by a D’arce choke submission to finally force the finish.
