Former UFC Welterweight Champion, Tyron Woodley just had his biggest career fight purse fighting a Youtuber in a boxing match. No wonder Woodley did not have a problem getting the tattoo and demanding a rematch. He may have lost via decision, but he still won considering how much he got in just one night.
The #PaulWoodley purses are in:
Jake Paul: $2M
Tyron Woodley: $2MAmanda Serrano: $75k
Yamileth Mercado: $34kDaniel Dubois: $100k
Joe Cusamano: $111kMontana Love: $60k
Ivan Baranchyk: $60kTommy Fury: $15k
Anthony Taylor: $40kCharles Conwell: $80k

You would think that a former UFC world champion that defended his belt would earn big but Woodley just earned $2M and a portion of the PPV buys. According to reports, the fight was a huge PPV success though not yet revealed. Jake Paul, hate him or love him, he is the reason that old veteran fighters can get this huge amounts of money.
The question is would Paul give him a rematch or would Paul fight other opponents like Tommy Fury or other MMA figthers? Who knows but the fight with Woodley was the first time he faced adversity and even went to a decision. Will they run it back? Who knows.
At the end of the day, who could blame Woodley for wanting a rematch? He made bigger money in a boxing match than when he was a UFC champion? It just shows that the UFC figther pay may have a bit of a problem. A lot of fighters have been complaining and even big names like Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones also went into the mix.
