As we’ve seen in this article, Donald trump has a good relationship with the UFC, Dana White and Ari Emanuel, but in 2018 the promotion took that sense of goodwill to the next level by unveiling a glowing documentary about the president.
As part of their ’25 for 25′ series to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the promotion, ‘Combatant In Chief,’ looked in depth at how President Trump has aided the sport over the years.
The documentary even featured Trump himself speaking glowingly about the UFC from the White House, while White was equally enthusiastic about the President.
“Donald Trump is a visionary,” White said.’ “This guy is a fighter, he’s an entrepreneur.”
Some suggested that the piece was little more than Trump propaganda aimed at currying favor with the President, but White was wholly unapologetic, calling the documentary ‘badass.’
