Jamshid Kenzhayev

Jamshid Kenzhayev, reportedly an MMA champion in his native Uzbekistan and a former national team wrestler who competed at the Asian Games, was brutally murdered during an incident outside a nightclub on August 8th that was caught on CCTV.

The 25-year-old Kenzhayev was attempting to enter the ‘Aurum 898’ club in Tashkent, Uzbekistan when he became involved in a confrontation with security staff, who later claimed he had attempted to bring a knife into the establishment.

After appearing to initially be shoved away by several guards, Kenzhayev charged back towards them.  A fight broke out and Kenzhayev soon found himself outnumbered on the ground as multiple guards and bystanders kicked and punched him.

One burly bouncer then raised a bar stool above his head and brought it crashing down on him, while others started beating him repeatedly with baseball bats and batons.

It’s believed that Kenzhayev was also stabbed multiple times in the chest with his own knife, before being dumped in the gutter outside the club, at which point a man gives the motionless, bloodied fighter one last kick in the face.

Kenzhayev died in hospital later that same night.

Three bouncers from the club were later arrested in relation to his death.
