It seems rumors of former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones coming back to the Octagon sooner rather than later is because USADA’s findings have been revealed and Jones didn’t exactly take estrogen blockers per se.
According to UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping, he overheard confidential information about what Jones was taking to get him pulled off the UFC 200 card and sanctioned.
No laughing matter: Bisping says Jones may be right about tainted “supplements”
In a recent episode of MMA on SiriusXM, Bisping revealed that Jones may have been taking a ‘generic version’ of Cialis, a drug to aid in erectile dysfunction. The pill was said to contain estrogen blockers which he was unaware of and so Jones’ claim that he might have been taking tainted supplements turns out to be quite plausible.
“It turns out Jon Jones didn’t take the estrogen blockers or whatever it was and, therefore, he may be coming back sooner rather than later,” said Bisping.
“I hear that the supplement in question, and it’s not even a supplement, was a sex aid, Cialis, but it was a generic version. It wasn’t the brand name. It apparently has estrogen blockers in it. That’s what he took and he’s maybe just looking at a little slap on the wrist.”
