Khan is a former unified WBA and IBF light-welterweight title holder, and the current WBC Silver welterweight champion. He won the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics at 17 years old.

The match up with McGregor is enticing, but the odds of that happening are slim to none as long as McGregor is under contract with the UFC. Khan would have to climb the ranks to fight a champion. He would need to get past world champion wrestlers, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belts, and basically anyone who wanted to put him on his back and grapple with him.
