Brunno Ferreira is in good spirits after achieving success over Phil Hawes at UFC Fight Night 234 last weekend. And to keep his UFC career moving, the fighter has already named his next target: Magomed Sharabutdin.

Ferreira made a remarkable fight after defeating Hawes via KO at the 4:55 mark of Round 1 of their bout. This is a huge success for the fighter, especially after he lost in his earlier bout against Nursulton Ruziboev in July 2023. This latest success gives the new UFC fighter a 2-1 record in his promotion record and the confidence to make his callout.

For “The Hulk,” Magomed Sharabutdin is the right choice to have. “Shara Bullet” made a success in his first UFC record after defeating Ferreira’s fellow countryman, Bruno Silva.

“Everything has a why,” Ferreira said during the event’s post-fight news conference. “Everything has a reason. This fight was supposed to happen before and he’s already run away from me once at the end of the year. He didn’t fight me. At the end of the day, I have a brother. I have a training partner. I have a friend in Bruno Silva, “Blindado.” He welcomed him into his home. So we’d like to welcome him into our home. So ‘Shara Bullet,’ we want to face him in Brazil.”

Sharabutdin currently has no fight booked in his name and still hasn’t responded to the callout. Nonetheless, Ferreira, who unsurprisingly has the goal of being a champ someday, is patient and just wants to celebrate his most recent win, which opened his 2024.

“I put a weight on myself,” Ferreira said. “This was a weight that was lifted off my back. To actually start the year like this and having the opportunity to start the year like this with a fight like this, it’s very happy. I’m very fortunate. … This is the way I wanted to start my year. This is the way the year is supposed to start.”
