UFC has moved Daniel Marcos’ bout sched after he was removed from the UFC Fight Night 233 lineup. “Soncora” will now face a new opponent in Aori Qileng.

Marcos was originally expected to fight Carlos Vera at UFC Fight Night 233. However, the fighter reportedly encountered visa issues that prevented him from taking the bout this weekend. Nonetheless, the latest reports claim that the problem is expected to be resolved soon.

With this, the UFC has moved Marcos’ next bout schedule to February by giving him a new opponent. Marcos boasts a clean slate by winning his first two debut fights at UFC in 2023. The Peruvian defeated Saimon Oliveira via TKO in January, followed by a victory over Davey Grant in July via split decision.

Qileng will challenge Marcos after a recent win over Johnny Munoz via unanimous decision in October. Before that, the Chinese mixed martial artist lost to Aiemann Zahabi in June, but that doesn’t mean it will be an easy fight for Marcos. In 2022, the fighter succeeded in his two bouts, defeating Jay Perrin and Cameron Else in August and April, respectively.

Here is the updated lineup of the event with the said changes above:

  • Jack Hermansson vs. Joe Pyfer
  • Gregory Rodrigues vs. Brad Tavares
  • Armen Petrosyan vs. Rodolfo Vieira
  • Dan Ige vs. Lerone Murphy
  • Trevin Giles vs. Carlos Prates
  • Bruna Brasil vs. Loma Lookboonmee
  • Max Griffin vs. Jeremiah Wells
  • Hyder Amil vs. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke
  • Daniel Marcos vs. Aori Qileng
