Wow, looks like Derrick Lewis is still beefing hard with Ronda Rousey & Travis Browne…
UFC heavyweight Travis Browne was once one of the brightest prospects in MMA. Back when he joined the UFC in 201, ‘Hapa’ was undefeated at 9-0, and moved like a lightweight with heavyweight power.
During a hot streak for the promotion, Browne defeated Stefan Struve, Chad Griggs and Cheick Kongo to name a few. His first pro loss came against Antonio Bigfoot Silva, but he soon found form again.
Knocking out Alistair Overeem, Gabriel Gonzaga and Josh Barnett, Browne was estabilished as a likely title contender. Then it all changed.
The Edmond Effect
At this stage, given the impact on Ronda Rousey, there’s no question that coach Edmond completely f*cked Browne’s style. Since joining Tarverdyan, Browne’s record has stood at 2-6.
Although he didn’t have Tarverdyan in camp for last night’s UFC 213 fight, the damage has long been done. Against Derrick Lewis back in February, Browne was starched brutally, and seems to have made an enemy for life.
After tapping out to Oleksiy Oliynyk, both ‘Hapa’ and his fiance Rousey were put on blast by ‘Black Beast:’

What has brought about this amount of animosity from Lewis? It all started when he and Browne were booked to fight, and ‘Black Beast’ labelled ‘Hapa’ a woman beater. From there it’s simply spiralled out of control.

Browne Did Troll Lewis After Mark Hunt
When Lewis decided he’d retire, then un-retire following his loss to Mark Hunt, Browne opened a verbal can of whoop ass on his rival. You can’t really expect much else from Lewis in return.
What does UFC president Dana White think of Browne’s fourth straight loss? The baldfather says ‘Hapa’ should retire from fighting:
“The guy looked like he would be a world champion,” White said. “And this is just one of those sports, you never know. One minute you’re absolutely unbeatable and unstoppable, and the next minute you can’t win a fight. … I think that Travis should retire.”
