After the announcement of the full UFC 205 fight card, the anticipation has been steadily rising. Excitement builds for the star studded event on November 12, as the promotion presents arguably their strongest card ever.
Waiting for this thrilling card is hard enough, but the much lamented injury bug adds to the worry. Alleviating those concerns is the fact the main event features two champions who NEVER pull out of fights.
Conor McGregor vs. Eddie Alvarez
Featuring a rare champion vs. champion bout, the UFC 205 main event is highly anticipated. Although only the lightweight strap is on the line, Alvarez vs. McGregor features two of the most dangerous stars in the UFC.
McGregor’s hobby of making his ‘Mystic Mac’ predictions has been on full show for UFC 205. During the pre-sale presser, ‘The Notorious’ vowed to KO Alvarez. Responding with his own set of predictions, the lightweight champion has a fierce gameplan in mind:
Eddie Alvarez’s UFC 205 Prediction
“From what I’ve seen in the past and what he’s done in the past, (his heart) is very questionable and I’m not the only one who’s questioned it,” Alvarez said. “I think he has quit in him and I think it takes a tad of adversity and him to get into a little bit of a fight to pull it out of him.
“On November 12, I’m going to pull it out of him and I’m going to show it to millions of people and the crowd. Everybody’s going to see it. We’re going to reveal the quit.”
‘Round 2’
“I think we do it under the nine-minute mark,” Alvarez said. “Big, big heavy shots, he goes down and then submission.
“I can see it ending much like the (Nate) Diaz fight where I land the heavy shot and then I finish with a submission.”
