5. Rich Franklin KO’ed by Cung Le, Never Fights Again
Former middleweight champion Rich Franklin never fought again after a brutal KO loss to Cung Le in 2012. Franklin had been exchanging wins and losses with top fighters in the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions ever since losing the MW title to Anderson Silva in 2007, and was coming into the fight off a decision victory over Wanderlei Silva.
Franklin fought many top strikers during that period, but none of them were able to knock him out as definitely as Le did.
Unfortunately for Le his fight career would only last one more fight after this. Following a loss to current MW Champion Michael Bisping, Le tested positive for elevated levels of HGH and never would compete in MMA again.
