As with Lyoto Machida, Cro Cop made the unfortunate mistake of informing USADA about taking a banned substance.
Cro Cop used human growth hormone to recover from a shoulder injury. A non-athlete can do this but USADA won’t let athletes. USADA suspended him 2 years.
Cro Cop opted to go to Japan where USADA can’t get him. He’s won 2 straight Rizin Grand Prix tournaments since then.
