1. Michael “Venom” Page
Page has stated publicly that he would like to face GSP’s Tristar teammate Rory MacDonald in 2017. GSP and Rory will never fight each other, but should Georges find himself in Bellator the two would most likely be competing in the same division again. This wasn’t as much of a problem in the UFC, mainly because Rory was still working himself up the rankings during GSP’s title reign.
Should GSP find himself in Bellator however, he and Rory would be two of the top ranked welterweights. One of them would have to give up title aspirations or move to Chael Sonnen’s “Gangsta Weight” division if they wish to still not fight each other.
Currently in the welterweight division, Michael Page is the most talked about fighter. Page made MMA headlines recently at Bellator 118 when he cracked open Evangelista Santos’ skull. Not only did Page land a knee so vicious it caused serious injury, he busted out the Pokemon celebration afterwards.
At 12W-0L the 29 year old Page has a chance to become a big star. A fight with GSP would do a lot towards that end, so you can bet he would jump at the chance.
