Just recently Rose Namajunas kicked Michelle Waterson in the face and choked her out, most likely earning herself a title shot in the process. While the loss knocks Waterson out of contention, she at least didn’t take as much of a beating as she did at Invicta 10.
Herica Tiburcio is the one responsible for doing this to the Karate Hottie’s face. She also took the Invicta Atomweight championship from her as a result. Unfortunately for Tiburcio, she dropped her next two bouts after this, including losing her title to Ayaka Yamasaki at Invicta 13.
The loss to Namajunas ends a 2-fight UFC win streak for Waterson. She most likely would have earned a title shot with a win.
