It would be one hell of a fight, but believe this, Floyd Mayweather would NOT survive…
UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor has certainly tested the patience of his employers over recent weeks. Formerly the consummate company man by all accounts, ‘The Notorious’ has now become the subject of far more controversy than usual.
McGregor is never far from the headlines, but his semi-retirement and removal from UFC 200 has seen the 145-pound champ painted in a different shade. Now currently without a fight and essentially holding the featherweight belt on freeze, fans are starting to tire of his antics.
McGregor’s UFC 196 loss to Nate Diaz did little to halt his presence at the forefront of MMA media. In fact, he’s perhaps become more of a press hog in the time since. Then came the crazy news yesterday, reported by just about everyone, that McGregor would be fighting Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match.
People were losing their minds, and at the least it re-opened the discussion forum for boxing vs. MMA, regardless of whether the fight was going to happen or not.
So it got us to thinking, what if they did fight? For arguments sake let’s say it’s with boxing gloves, no takedowns or grappling, but kicks/knees and elbows are allowed.
