2. Chuck Liddell
If Dana White and Joe Silva would let him, Liddell would still be fighting. Even now Liddell has been involved in multiple twitter wars with Jon Jones, with Jones hinting that anytime Liddell wants to come out of retirement the two could have a “super fight”. Of course it wouldn’t be a super fight because Jones would just have to tap Chuck on the chin once and his lights would go out.
It’s as if Liddell’s chin crossed a threshold where all of a sudden his lights could be turned off with ease. The sudden change in Liddell’s ability to take a punch was noticeable to everyone, but Chuck was hesitant to admit he could no longer compete at a top level. Finally after Rich Franklin knocked him out in the 1st round at UFC 115 the decision was made that he’d had his last fight in the UFC.
Liddell lost 5 of his last 6 fights, with 4 of the losses coming by way of a knockout.
