Tim Sylvia has is a former 2x UFC heavyweight champion, but the latter part of his career was really damning to any legacy he may leave on the sport.

Sylvia left the UFC after losing to Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 81 in a fight for the interim heavyweight title.  Nogueira went to Affliction to fight Fedor, where he was promptly be choked out in 36 seconds.  Following that fight Sylvia continued to embarrass himself when boxer Ray Mercer knocked him out in just 9 seconds.

Sylvia was reduced to fighting on smaller shows for the remainder of his career until doctors finally told him in 2015 he was just not in good enough shape to fight.  At the time doctors finally refused to clear him he was scheduled to compete for Reality Fighting and weighed in excess of 370lbs.
