Remember in the weeks leading to UFC 200 when Dana White said that the last thing anyone should be worried about is the company being sold? Turns out there was plenty of reason to worry. Plenty of reason indeed.

Since WME-IMG took over the UFC things have changed dramatically, even though Dana White specifically said that wouldn’t be the case…
Here are 5 ways the new UFC owners are already screwing over fans…

5. Interim Title Fights
Evidently when the new owners took over a memo went out stating all UFC PPVs will have a title on the line. And this will be the case even if said title fight doesn’t make any sense at all.
This is why Max Holloway vs. Anthony Pettis was inexplicably made for the interim featherweight championship, even though Jose Aldo had just defeated Frankie Edgar for the same title that summer. This is also why Holly Holm is facing Germaine de Randamie for the inaugural women’s featherweight championship soon even though Cyborg is clearly the best female fighter at that weight.
Too many titles devalues what it is to be a champion.
