“It’s a company that is worried about entertainment. It’s not a company with a history in martial arts, the philosophy of the fight.” Anderson Silva on new UFC owners.

Anderson Silva told the Brazilian media that he believes the new UFC ownership group is turning the company into more entertainment than sport. It is hard to disagree with that.

He even said that one of the UFC execs didn’t even know Amanda Nunes’ name. This is an example of the company being focussed on “stars” and little else.
