Will Fans Finally Get to See Fedor Inside the Octagon?

For years, Fedor Emelianenko and his fans have tried to make the cross-continent journey to the UFC, but somehow it just never came to fruition. “The Last Emperor” retired in 2012, but has recently returned to competition with his appearance at Rizin last December.

In his most recent bout, Emelianenko won a three round Majority Decision over Fabio Maldonado and some say he still has the ability to be a legitimate threat in the heavyweight division.

The UFC’s heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum fought and beat Emelianenko back in 2010 at Strikeforce, where Werdum submitted the Russian via Triangle Armbar. There is nothing Emelianenko wants more than to get that win back.

How sick would it be for Fedor to finally make his long-awaited UFC debut against the man who he had such an epic first bout against, and who just happens to be the UFC’s heavyweight champion?
