Mixed martial arts has come a long way since the early days of the sport. Back when it started to become popular in the early 1990’s, MMA was more of a blood sport. Beer bellied brawlers like Tank Abbot would roll in off the bar stool in to main event fights.
Long gone are the days that talent-less chubby dudes rule the sport. Following the Zuffa takeover of the UFC, mixed martial arts really started to become mainstream. Real production was introduced, and rankings were implemented.
Legitimate
Legitimate is a description that MMA tried for years to attain. Now in 2016 it seems the sport has just about reached that goal. With the legalization of MMA in New York, every US state now allows mixed martial arts shows.
There were still those that doubted mixed martial arts though. Long after the sport had begun, even after the cameras were at every show. The techniques used were recorded and broadcast to millions, proving the efficiency of the art in real life.
Ninja
Dominick Cruz is one of the most elite fighters in MMA history. He’s the current and two-time UFC bantamweight ad former WEC bantamweight champion. In reality ‘The Dominator’ is probably the last guy you’d want to challenge to a fight.
Somebody probably should have told the ‘real life ninja’ who showed up at Cruz’s gym about MMA…

The guy in the video is no ninja, firstly because a real ninja would never reveal his true profession to anyone, second they knew he was there, so that means he just walked through the door and alerted everyone there to his presence. He used zero weapons and he sucked at hand to hand combat. This guy is a fraud, who would completely fail as a real ninja and got his ass handed to him cause he was a fool who had no idea what he was doing. I’m not some ninja expert, it’s just a matter of logic. Ok I’m done.
