What a great week of fights we’ve got on our hands, and we aren’t even half way through yet. UFC 200 on Saturday, The Ultimate Fighter 23 finale tonight, and a stack of other crazy news has made this THE busiest week in MMA history.
UFC Fight Night 90 went down on Fight Pass last night (Thursday July 7, 2016) and provided an incredible start to this historic run of events. The card was headlined by Eddie Alvarez vs. Rafael dos Anjos.
The former Bellator lightweight champion had entered the UFC with mixed results. His first fight against Donald Cerrone was a disappointing decision loss, and many believed dos Anjos would best him.
It was Alvarez who came out on top though and with a brilliant first round knockout. RDA wobbled and danced his way around the octagon after getting blasted by ‘The Silent Assassin’ early on.
Earlier in the card there was a co-main event heavyweight bout between hard hitting 265-pounders Roy Nelson and Derrick Lewis. ‘The Black Beast’ landed the single hardest punch in UFC history, with UFC president Dana White and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta left in shock…
