You never know how well a fighter will do in the UFC until they are actually in the UFC.

A lot of the fighters on this list came into the UFC after having had success in other promotions, namely Pride or Strikeforce.  In many cases fighters who were dominant in those promotions came in and did just as well for themselves in the UFC, but there have certainly been fighters who couldn’t live up to their hype.  Then there are fighters who just found a way to fail epically their first time in the octagon.

We excluded any fighters who made their debuts during the pioneer days of the UFC, otherwise this list would just consist of Art Jimmerson (the guy who wore one boxing glove) Joe Son, who got punched repeatedly in the nuts by Keith Hackney during his debut at UFC 3, and similar fighters.
