Jamahal Hill was arrested over an alleged assault on his older brother, who reportedly suffered from “serious or aggravated injury.” The party of the MMA fighter has finally spoken, with Hill’s representative claiming the reports are just “clickbait” and “false accusations” about the fighter.
According to TMZ, “Sweet Dreams” was arrested and charged with a single count of misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence on Monday. The case was now confirmed by the Kent County Sheriff’s Office in Michigan. The report names a person called “James Anthony Hill Jr.,” who is now identified as the older brother of the MMA fighter.
Despite the circulating reports online, Hill’s representative, SuckerPunch Entertainment CEO Brian Butler, said the claims are just allegations.
“The recent ‘clickbait’ headlines about Jamahal Hill were based on an alleged dispute between him and his older brother,” Butler shared on Twitter. “Jamahal adamantly maintains his innocence and denies the false accusations. We will not be commenting anymore about this until the truth comes out in court.”
Hill will reportedly return to the court in January to respond to the charges.
The news came as Hill is about to approach his return to UFC to fight Alex Pereira in early 2024. The fighter was named by UFC CEO Dana White as the next opponent of “Poatan,” who successfully defeated Jiri Prochazka at UFC 295.
