Aleksandar Rakic finally accepted Jiri Prochazka’s offer to face him at UFC 297. However, the two are still discussing the date of the bout, with the former wanting to have it on February 17 and the latter asking to have it on March 9.

This week, Rakic revealed that Jan Blachowicz would no longer be able to face him in their scheduled UFC 297 bout. The Polish later confirmed it, sharing how he has no option but to withdraw due to the pain of the injury, which requires surgery.

Thankfully, it seems Rakic still has a chance to have a fight in the event after Prochazka responded to his callout. “Rocket” initially offered January 20 to Prochazka, but the fighter said that the “earliest time” he could be either February or March.

The Austrian later responded to the offer, giving the February 17 date in Anaheim. However, Prochazka suggested March 9 in Miami. The current status of the talk between the two is currently unknown or whether UFC also supports them, but based on Prochazka’s suggestion, the Czech is probably offering a UFC 299 bout, which is rumored to happen in Miami.
