The most recent UFC pay-per-view events have been huge. Ironically UFC 200 has probably been one of the poorest PPV shows of 2016. Starting at UFC 195 in January, we’ve had a great run of shows with a wide array of entertaining factors.

UFC 196 is arguably one of the best events ever. Stacked from top to bottom with a host of talent, the March 5 card was a blast. Nate Diaz submitted Conor McGregor in the main event, leading to a thrilling UFC 202 rematch.

That’s Entertainment

The second fight was a five round brawl between McGregor and Diaz. The Irishman evened the score with a decision win, and now it’s off to either lightweight or featherweight for McGregor.

Many, including Diaz himself, criticized McGregor for his tactics at UFC 202. They claimed the Irish star was running to avoid having to engage during the fight. Others simply tiring or trying to reset away from the octagon fence.

Running or Resetting?

Then came another debate about running/resetting. UFC 203 transpired in Cleveland, and the main event featured a very similar performance. The main difference is the man that was accused of ‘running’ lost the fight, and brutally.

Alistair Overeem got knocked out By Stipe Miocic at UFC 203, but not before putting on a bizarre performance. Seemingly trying to avoid the exchanges, ‘The Reem’ got on his bike big time. Some say he was wobbled and dizzy from the heavy strikes, but it’s a matter of opinion really.

Run Forrest!

The two fights were decidedly different, but it was hard to deny their similarities too. One person who picked up on that fact is Joe Rogan. The UFC color commentator always has something cool to say on these subjects.

You can watch the video of McGregor and Overeem on page 2, as well as Joe Rogan’s interesting reaction.
