Molly McCann’s UFC Fight Night 235 victory is a memorable one not only because of having it via submission but also by making Diana Belbita scream.
The fight surprised the audience after McCann finished her opponent through an armbar in the first round of their match in the preliminary card.

McCann targeted the left arm of her opponent. While this appeared usual in these fights, Belbita screamed in pain after “Meatball” put pressure on the area, making the former tap and hand the opponent her victory. Needless to say, “The Warrior Princess” ended the fight feeling the effect of the armbar, with UFC’s medical team giving her support afterward.
This ends the two-fight losing skid of McCann, who lost to Erin Blanchfield and Julija Stoliarenko both by submission. This also gave her the second win against Belbitw, whom she defeated in their first match back in October 2019, albeit via a unanimous decision. As for the Romanian-Canadian, the loss has extended her skid to two fights after earlier losing to Karolina Kowalkiewicz last October.
