Jim Miller managed to win over Gabriel Benitez at the UFC Fight Night 234 event via a remarkable submission win. Now, “A-10” wants to claim the UFC 300 spot promised by the promotion by challenging Paul Felder.

Benitez and Miller made an interesting fight at the UFC’s event this weekend by giving the audience ample kick attacks in the opening of the bout. The two exchanged kicks, but Miller landed many of them in addition to some combos. The entire Round 1 was packed with action, with the Benitez ending it with some jabs and straight-right and Miller with a right hook and leg kick.

The two continued the action in the second round by sending more leg kicks and making exchanges, with Miller shooting for a takedown and making a nice ground-and-pound attack. Benitez then tried an armbar, only for the opponent to defend it and make a reverse in the situation by taking the back of Benitez. Luckily for the Mexican, the bell rang.

Nonetheless, in the last round, Miller managed to make a successful takedown after a series of exchanges between them. With two minutes left, the American secured the rear-naked choke and submitted the opponent.

Miller’s success has granted him his 20th submission in his career. He’s also UFC’s current fighter with the most total wins, specifically in the lightweight division. This makes him a lethal opponent to anyone. And if the fighter is to be asked who he would like to defeat next, it would be Felder, who is reportedly making his imminent octagon return.

In case it is pushed, the fight might likely be added to the UFC 300 lineup, with UFC CEO Dana White initially revealing that Miller would participate in the event. And with Miller exiting the cage without appearing severely bruised, he thinks he can make the preparation before the UFC 300 happens in April.

“I’ve got three months to heal up and stay in shape and stay ready,” Miller said in his post-fight interview with Michael Bisping. “Now it’s just find an opponent at this point. There’s a couple of names that have been thrown out that intrigued me a bit, one sitting at the desk, Paul Felder. I think that would be a fun fight.”
