Patchy Mix made a remarkable win at Bellator 301 this weekend after submitting Sergio Pettis using a rear-naked choke. With this, “No Love” has claimed not just the monicker as the King of Back Take but also the undisputed Bellator bantamweight title.

Mix already had control over everything from the start of the bout, but the new champ secured his victory at the 1:51 mark of Round 2. During the second round, Mix continued his attempts to trap Pettis.

After securing a close distance from the opponent, the champ didn’t waste time to take down the opponent to the ground and perform the choke. In the final moments of the bout, Mix managed to wrap his legs around Pettis to trap his right arm, while his choke assured that the opponent’s free left arm could do nothing but call for submission.

This recent win gives Mix a new victory that will be included in his current six-fight winning streak. It is the most fulfilling battle for the fighter who tried to take the title away from Juan Archuleta in September 2020. With all this, Mix sports a new record of 19-1 MMA/8-1 BMMA, which he can add to his credentials should he want to find a new place for his career amid Bellator’s unknown future.
