5. Leonard Garcia
In 2008, while fighting with the WEC, Garcia was arrested for possession and distribution of cocaine. And this wasn’t a case of a police officer pulling Garcia over and he just so happened to have cocaine on him at the time, this arrest was part of a targeted investigation.
In all the police in Lubbock, Texas arrested 12 other individuals along with Garcia as part of an alleged cocaine distribution ring. If convicted Garcia could have spent more than 40 years in prison.
Garcia would later state that the police had targeted him because he was friends with a guy who was into some shady things, but that he’d had no contact with any of the other 11 guys who were also arrested. Leonard would deny being involved in the drug ring in any manner.
Eventually the more serious charges were all dropped against Garcia.
